                                          IS PLAY THERAPY EFFECTIVE?

Play Therapy UK is the largest organisation in the United Kingdom which is governing creative arts and play therapy. It has developed a research tool to asses the effectiveness of creative arts and play therapy but also to monitor its members' practice to evaluate how their work with children and young people are safe. Recent research conducted by PTUK shows play therapy is an effective way to help children within their emotional, social and behavioural issues. The research has collected data from 2008 to 2011 and based on 8000 cases.  Between 74% to 83% of those children who have received play therapy have shown positive change.
